Australian National Education Institute’s Admission Requirements
- Be 18 years or over
- Be competent in written and spoken English with an IELTS Score of no less than 5.0 or equivalent language test score
- Participate in a suitability interview prior to enrolment and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and ability to undertake this qualification, with the recommendation being made by the interviewer to the CEO and/or nominee who will make the final decision

Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.
They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Employment Pathways into the qualification Individuals shall enter Diploma of Leadership and Management by satisfying the admission requirements.
Pathways from the qualification After achieving BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management, individuals could progress to Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. Any alternative unit selection will need to be approved by the CEO and will be suitably documented with alternative Training and Assessment Strategy depicting the alternative units.
The outcome for this qualification is either the BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management or, should the participant depart the course before it has been completed, a Statement of Attainment for the units in which competency has been demonstrated. The nationally accredited Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters. They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
